Qualified KIZ Companies are eligible for the KIZ Tax Credit Program and other KIZ Company benefits.
Companies
Affiniton is a product brand management and service company that specializes in contraband contingency planning and bringing to market assembled solutions that include drug screening products and tailored services.
Their flagship product, DrugWipe, detects invisible traces of drug residue on surfaces in saliva or sweat at the nanogram level. DrugWipe is the only on-site surface test that uses no hazardous chemicals or sprays, is recyclable or can be disposed of with regular garbage, and can be used in a wide variety of applications.
Bavarian Barbarian Brewing Company 
Bavarian Barbarian Brewing Company is Williamsport’s first production brewery since the 1950s. The brewery, founded by Mike and Kira Hiller in July 2007, produces distinct craft beers that are available in restaurants and bars throughout Williamsport and Pennsylvania. KIZ and IMC have supported numerous interns for Bavarian Barbarian.

Johnny’s Key has developed a patented educational math manipulative to help students understand elapsed time. Johnny’s Key also provides training to educators for staff development, in addition to in-service consultation.
Keystone Leather is a manufacturer of leather components for the footwear and equestrian industries. Keystone Leather has taken advantage of the KIZ Tax Credit Program.

Solid State Ceramics, Inc.
Solid State Ceramics, Inc. is a manufacturer of ceramic-based transformers that are manufactured through technologies developed by Qortek.
Strouse Industrial, LLC is a spin-off company focusing on enhancing the woodworking industry through innovation. Strouse has developed a patent-pending high-efficiency helical cutterhead for use in woodworking machinery, and custom produces these cutterheads for customers, which are available for purchase through the Hermance Machine Company. Strouse also won the $25,000 Big Idea Business Plan Contest in 2007-08. KIZ has helped Strouse Industrial support numerous interns, apply for a patent, access incubator space, and research their industry and introduce their product on the market.

TGI Electronics, LLC is a new technology company that creates innovative electronic products for the music industry, economical hardware & software tools for DSP developers, offers PCB design services and provides quality engineering services at affordable prices. KIZ has helped TGI apply for a patent, conduct quantitative market research, access incubator space, and connect with local students to provide strategy support. KIZ also supported a student intern who developed TGI’s website.
The R.A.T.E. Company, LLC is a newly formed company that specializes in the production of hoof-care products for the equine industry. These revolutionary products offer new and improved solutions for daily use on horses. R.A.T.E will use KIZ interns to assist them in the research, marketing, and development of its products.
TLC North, LLC
TLC North, LLC is a manufacturer of corrugated packaging products. They have partnered with KIZ Graduate Phoenix Trim Works for their manufacturing space needs. They are looking forward to taking advantage of the KIZ Tax Credit and internship grant programs.
TQ Electronics
TQ Electronics is a technology manufacturer focused on commercial and industrial customers using existing technology assigned from QorTek, Inc. and new technology developed by TQE.
Woodicelli Enterprises, LLC is a developer and manufacturer of innovative products in the wood trim/woodworking industry. Their new patent pending MagnaFit wood trim product line harnesses the power of rare earth magnets to virtually install themselves over metal door and window frames.

A KIZ “Graduate,” Discovery Machine leverages cognitive science principles to capture, share, automate, optimize, embed and network your knowledge. Their patented processes and tools automate and accelerate knowledge capture and engineering. The Ladder Companion keeps all your tools within reach, acting as a “companion” on your extension ladder. It adjusts to the pitch of your extension ladder, and can be placed on either side of the ladder, making it great for both left and right handed people. Ladder Companion, LLC has worked with the KIZ on applying for a patent, product design and prototyping, market research and branding. Thunder Valley Whitetails is a deer farm that strives for better genetics and a higher quality of deer. Thunder Valley also produces an array of products such as livestock safety zone signs, deer crates, and the UltiMax Feeder. The KIZ helped Thunder Valley design the UltiMax Feeder, conduct primary market research, and develop an adapter for the UltiMax Feeder. The UltiMax Feeder is sold nationwide to customers including the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
