August Inventor’s Club Meeting
The Inventor’s Club will meet on Wednesday, August 25 from 5-6:30 p.m. at the Pajama Factory located on Rose Street in Williamsport. The meeting will feature guest speaker William Metzger of the Susquehanna Investment Network who will speak about investing and related topics. QorTek Receives Recognition
Congratulations to QorTek, Inc., an electronics and mechatronics engineering company based in Williamsport, for their nationally recognized contributions and continuing efforts to advance national defense and security through advanced engineering concepts.
QorTek serves as a technology manufacturer for commercial and industrial customers through its spin-off KIZ Company, TQ Electronics.
QorTek recently received recognition at NASA’s annual Inventions Award Ceremony, and was also awarded a Phase I contract through the U.S. Army.
Embracing Lovable Innovation

Greenovation
The third annual Greenovation Competition of Central PA is underway!
The competition is open to local companies and innovators with an original green product idea (green+innovation = greenovation). Applications are available on the new KIZ site under the Greenovation tab. The deadline to apply is Friday, November 5.
The grand prize winner will receive a complete prize package to help turn the winning idea into a business opportunity– currently valued at over $11,000! The runner-up will also receive a prize package valued at $5,400! Don’t miss out on this opportunity to launch your green product idea.
