Williamsport Inventor’s Club to Host The Inventor’s Guide to Crowdfunding Presentation

Williamsport, PA- The Williamsport Inventor’s Club is excited to host Mark T. Reyland, Executive Director of the United Inventors Association, on Thursday, June 21, 2012 to give a presentation on crowdfunding for inventors. The “Inventors Guide to Crowdfunding” presentation is open to the public and will be held from 5-6:30 pm at IMC, Inc., located in the Center for Business and Workforce Development building at Pennsylvania College of Technology, 1127 West Fourth Street, Williamsport PA 17701.

In January the Williamsport Inventor’s Club became the first United Inventors Association (UIA) registered inventor’s club in Pennsylvania. This opened up doors for the club to receive specialized programming, assistance and information.

Mark T. Reyland, Executive Director and Executive Committee Member of the UIA, will be giving a presentation on how inventors can get money for their inventions through a new crowdfunding website called FundaGeek. “Crowdfunding” is a means for inventors to receive monetary pledges towards the production and marketing of their invention. Reyland is currently the Founder and CEO of Obvious Ideas LLC, a private product development company specializing in providing fully developed products to the direct response industry and traditional retail. His technology inventions and retail products have been widely published in magazines and trade journals around the world.

The UIA is the largest non-profit inventor organization in the world, composed of a team of well respected professional inventors, executives, and product suppliers, all providing education and guidance to its members through the many inventor outreach programs. Every one of these outreach programs are directed under Reyland’s leadership and supervision.

If you are interested in attending this presentation, please R.S.V.P. by Wednesday, June 20th 2012 to Sarah Horton at seh3@pct.edu or by calling 570-329-3200 x8073.
